The cooperative bank is a unique brand. The cooperative shareholders - our customers - have influence after the principle - one man one vote - and where decisions shall not be taken for the benefit of shareholders but solely for the benefit of the customers.

The cooperative bank is an independent financial institution with decisions and competence being found locally and therefore for the benefit of the local society.

The single cooperative bank is independent with all the advantages it involves with the scale advantages being unified in the umbrella body the Danish Amalgamation of Cooperative Banks. Here the 22 cooperative banks and their branches have assembled some of the heaviest tasks such as IT, marketing and account.

The cooperative banks, members of the Danish Amalgamation of Cooperative Banks, are secured financially. The balance is a total of 15 billion DKK (2008), and all cooperative banks are joint and several liable, providing optimum security for the customers in the cooperative bank.

The Danish Amalgamation of Cooperative Banks is the owner of Danske Andelskassers Bank Ltd., which is a highly specialized investment - and consulting bank. Here the individual cooperative bank can draw on specialists within areas as for example investment, pension and dwelling.

The 22 independent cooperative banks are situated in Jutland and on Funen and the total number of employees is 600.

The Danish Amalgamation of Cooperative Banks and Danske Andelskassers Bank are situated in Hammershøj between Viborg and Randers and the number of employees is 100.
